A Simple Plan to Fix the Economy
It’s time for relief for America’s middle class. For small business owners and all hard working families whose income has failed to keep up with the rising cost of living. We need an economic expansion. It is a well-known fact that it is the middle class and in particular small business that drive our economy. We need work diligently to find ways to provide the assistance necessary to strengthen the middle class and small businesses that fuel our local, regional and national economies.
We can do this by:
1. Increasing access to Small Business Administration programs, by furthering outreach initiatives to attract new prospective business owners.
2. Reduce the paperwork and red tape involved with securing financial assistance from Federal funding Sources.
3. Reduce the time it takes to get paid from vendor contracts. Waiting 90 and 180 days to get paid after work has been completed is unacceptable and stifles business growth and in some cases causes business to cease its existence.
Future policy action should include laws freeing small businesses from regulations that stifle innovation and ingenuity, while protecting workers rights, and workplace safety.
