American Infrastructure has been suffering on national, state, and local levels. Infrastructure is vital to economic development through job security and public transportation projects. However, fluctuating gas prices, the possible insolvency of the Highway Trust Fund, and decreasing government budgets have left many projects idle or incomplete. These projects require collaborations and partnerships. Public-private partnerships may be a solution for some of the necessary infrastructure work in America. These partnerships can enhance the economy by adding capital to the market and creating long-term employment. By securing our infrastructure we can work towards securing our economic future and quality of life.
