In world where devastating catastrophes are linked to an ever changing climate where temperatures have been on the rise with snow and rainfall patterns shifting, how can we continue to ignore science and common sense?
We have been witnessing more extreme climate events, such as extreme temperatures, heavy rain and snowstorms. Scientists are confident that these extreme weather events and observed changes are linked to the increasing carbon dioxide levels as well as other greenhouse gases within our atmosphere, all of which are caused by human activities. These extreme weather events can take a toll on our economy, our emergency management, and public health systems. Climate change requires sufficient planning and collaborations between multiple systems, which we at the Center for Economic and Policy Development, Inc. fully support.
From pushing innovation in energy efficiency technologies through to a high school tree-planting programs that teaches our youth about solutions to the serious problems of tomorrow, The Center is committed to making a difference.
